Getting in from the airport
Florence's airport, Amerigo Vespucci at Peretola, sits northwest of the center. The T2 tram, the Vespucci line, is the easy link: it runs from the airport into the city and reaches Santa Maria Novella, the main station on the edge of the historic core. Most intercity trains also arrive at Santa Maria Novella, so the airport and the rail network both drop you within a short walk of the Duomo.
The T2 tram runs between Peretola airport and the center, and the standard €2.00 urban ticket, valid 90 minutes, covers the ride. SourceAutolinee ToscaneAutolinee Toscane
Florence's €2.00 urban ticket also works on regional trains between the city's stations, including Firenze Santa Maria Novella and Firenze Rifredi. SourceAutolinee Toscane
