Account & data deletion

How to delete your Wayside account and everything stored with it.

Last updated · 14 July 2026

Wayside (“we”, “us”), published by Small Works Lab, LLC, makes self-guided audio walking tours. This page explains how to delete your Wayside account and the data tied to it. Wayside is published on the App Store and Google Play under the developer name Small Works Lab, LLC.

Wayside signs you in automatically, so there is no username or password and no web login. Because your account lives on your device, you delete it from inside the app.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Wayside app.
  2. Go to the You tab.
  3. Tap Delete account & data.
  4. Confirm when the app asks you to.

Deletion happens right away. The app clears your local data and starts you fresh on a new, empty session so you can keep using it.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes your account and everything stored under it:

  • Your tour history and bookmarks.
  • Tours you saved.
  • Personalized tours you generated.
  • Your interests and preferences.
  • Your notification settings and push token.
  • Your city alerts.

Shared catalog content, such as the tours, audio, and images that Wayside offers to everyone, stays in place. It belongs to the app, not to your account, so it is not part of your personal data.

Timing

Your account and its data are removed from our live systems as soon as you confirm. Residual copies in backups and diagnostic logs expire within 90 days, as described in the privacy policy.

Subscriptions

If you bought a Wayside subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, and only they can stop the billing. Cancel yours before or after you delete your account:

Can’t open the app?
