Common questions

Do I need to be online during the walk?

No. Download a tour over Wi-Fi before you head out and it all runs offline, including the audio and the map. Handy for skipping roaming charges abroad.

How much does Wayside cost?

Your first tour is free, no account needed. After that you can buy tours one at a time, or subscribe for access to every city. Cancel whenever you want.

Can I pause and finish later?

Always. Stop for lunch or split a tour across two days, and Wayside remembers exactly where you left off.

Is it good for accessibility and slower paces?

There's no clock running. Each tour lists its distance and how hilly or cobbled it gets up front, and many cities have step-free options.

Which phones does Wayside support?

Any iPhone on iOS 16 or later, and Android phones on 10 or later. Any headphones work, wired or wireless.
